Michelin-starred chef Iliana Regan (Elizabeth) jumped on Facebook this morning to announce that the awning for Kitsune Restaurant and Pub, her forthcoming Japanese-style concept, is in place.

Situated in the former home of The Big Cheese, Regan is anticipating a late-July opening.

“We’ve begun the remodel, which is simple since it was already a restaurant,” adding that they “shouldn’t have many delays, at least not like (at) Bunny, the Micro Bakery.”

Eater Chicago reported back in December of 2015 that Kitsune will feature “Japanese snacks, ramen, a washoku family-style menu, sides, and Regan’s sweets.”

Kitsune Restaurant and Pub is at 4229 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60618
