NYE in Chicago: Grace, Embeya, moto, iNG & The Boarding House


GraceCurtis Duffy‘s restaurant opened earlier this month and is open for NYE with a special menu.  Guests who dine at Grace for NYE will have the reservation for the entire evening, being with a Champagne reception at 7:30 PM and dinner following at 8 PM.  There will be more Champagne at midnight and guests will be welcome to stay as long as they like and mingle throughout the restaurant, even in the kitchen.  The evening of dining costs $325 per person with wine pairings (tax and tip is extra) and the menu is below (click on the picture to enlarge).  Only a handful of tickets remain, so if you want in call them now at 312-234-9494.

graceviewerEmbeya – Chef Thai Dang (L2O, RIA) will present a new dishes for Embeya‘s first New Year’s Eve.  Oysters, grilled quail, mung bean noodles with king crab, steamed dover sole, empress rice and wagyu beef will be featured, along with specialty cocktails from the bar to help in your celebration of the coming new year.  There will be two seatings, the first, a three-course menu for $65; and a second, a four-course menu for $85.  There are a limited number of tables left, so if you want one, contact Embeya at 312-612-5640 to book yours.  For the full menu, visit here.

NYE with the Embeya Family

motoHomaro Cantu‘s Michelin-star rated moto will no doubt delight the senses with the restaurant’s renowned tasting menu.  The NYE menu will include a premium 13-course tasting menu designed by Chef Richie Farina and his team, which comes with pairings and complimentary midnight Champagne toast.  moto is open for regular seating from 5 PM until 9:30 PM, the cost is $350 per person inclusive of tax, service charge and wine pairings.  Call 312-491-0058 or book through Open Table.

iNG – Next door to moto is Cantu’s other restaurant, iNG, which will be hold their own unique NYE menu.  Featuring 12 premium courses, 1o pairings and complimentary sparkliNG toast at midnight, iNG is open for regular seating from 5 PM until 9:30 PM, the cost is $250 $150 per person, inclusive of tax, service charge and beverage pairings.  The menu is below.  Call 855-834-6464 or book through Open Table.

The Boarding House – Another restaurant that just opened and is also celebrating it’s first NYE with its guests is The Boarding House.  From Master Sommelier and Check, Please! host Alpana Singh and Executive Chef Christian Gosselin, The Boarding House‘s aim is to present new spins on rustic, new American cuisine and features an intense wine list to boot.  For NYE, The Boarding House will have two seatings: 5 PM will feature a four-course tasting menu for $85 per person, and 8 PM will have a five-course gala tasting menu (with party favors) for $105 per person (all prices are before beverages, tax and tip).  Reservations can be made by Open Table or by calling the restaurant directly at 312-280-0720.  The bar will be open on a walk-in basis, and reservations for the cellar lounge can be made by contacting Cellar@BHChicago.com.
