Tomorrow night Chicago’s Gorilla Tango Theatre (1919 N. Milwaukee Ave.) will debut its newest production, Boobs of the Dead: A Walking Dead Burlesque just in time for Halloween. The scripted parody is the latest from the popular burlesque troupe and will be performed, beginning October 5th, Fridays at 9 PM and Saturdays at 11:59 PM, with a special final performance on Wednesday, October 31st at 9 PM. The opening night is almost entirely sold out, so make sure to order your tickets ($20 – 18 and over) in advance by visiting GorillaTango.com/Zombies or by phone at 773-598-4549 now.
The viral campaign for the show has included mock updates from the fictional Chicago CDC which has charted the spread of “virus B1Z3″ with warnings that “virus-carriers have been observed performing elaborate dance routines while removing sequined corsetry before committing heinous assaults on confused onlookers”.
Written and directed by K Leo with choreography by Erica Reid, who promise that you don’t have to be a fan of the popular AMC television series (or its graphic novel origins) to enjoy Boobs of the Dead: A Walking Dead Burlesque. Boobs of the Dead: The apocalypse has never been hotter.
Gorilla Tango Burlesque has locations in Chicago (1919 N. Milwaukee Ave.) and Skokie, IL (7924 Lincoln Ave.). The Skokie location is still showing Holy Bouncing Boobies!: A Batman Burlesque. The Empire Brings Sexy Back: A Star Wars Sequel will debut at the Chicago location this November.
