Renowned burlesque performer (as well as burlesque company owner) Angela Eve is putting on a big show for a very worthy cause (Katie’s Kids) this Saturday, September 15th at Metro in Chicago. The “Big Top Cabaret” will feature DJ Arkitek, the bands McLovin and Cash O’Riley and the Downright Daddies, in addition to Eve, there will also be such burlesque performers as Trixi Minx from New Orleans, Miss PussyKatt from Michigan, Angie Z Miami, Ali Arnold from New Orleans, HollyPeno from Miami and Donna Touch and Viva La Muerte from Chicago. Eve also promises many more surprises, so expect the unexpected.
The University of Chicago Booth Business School created the event in an effort to benefit Katie’s Kids. Katie’s Kids was started in 2003 by Katie Augustyn and the owners of Liar’s Club (Herb Rosen, Mike O’Connell and Mike Cook) as a way to raise funds and create awareness for the children being treated at Schwab Hospital in the Kids Rehab program (a 125-bed comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation facility that helps patients achieve maximum independence).
