“If they did this chart long enough, they could find out where herpes began.” That’s Butt-head commenting while he and erstwhile companion Beavis sit on their couch and mock the cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore as they work out all the connections to hookups they’ve had in the house. Yes, the two teens are making their return to the network that launched them nearly twenty years ago this fall in an effort to incite laughter and incredible frustration to anyone in their world that comes into contact with them.
Show creator (and voice to both Beavis and Butt-head) Mike Judge made an appearance at San Diego’s Comic-Con this weekend, debuting a sneak peek (see below for the full clip) of the show’s first new episode in fourteen years. When asked why he was bringing the show back, Judge stated, “I felt like TV was getting too smart.”
Footage from an episode called “Werewolves of Highland,” about the boys watching one of the Twilight films and then figuring that becoming vampires is the best way to pick up girls. There’s one I can’t wait to see.
The Ghost has already put in a request to interview Judge, so look for that closer to the show’s debut in October. Until then, watch the clip and wait patiently (or impatiently, it’s your choice) for the debut.
