The few years Tina Fey spent living and working at Chicago’s Second City seems to have had a lasting impact on the Emmy winning writer/actress. In a video where the 30 Rock star/creator answers questions submitted by fans, Fey practically drools thinking about the roast chicken and steak fries at the Athenian Room. “It’s cooked on a spit, it comes on a bed of steak fries and the chicken juice gets into the fries. Unbelievable.” Fey also throws down the gauntlet in sandwiches by choosing Jimmy Johns over Potbelly’s. “Take that Chicago. I just sent a ripple through the Chicago sandwich community”, Fey says. Gotta say I’m shocked by that declaration. It doesn’t seem as if Fey gets here much to try our finer dining establishments, however.
Fey is also asked which city she likes more: Chicago or New York? Chicago wins, somewhat for the fact that we have a beach inside the city that you can go to “10 days a year”.
