mp3: EELS – “Little Bird”EELS’ eight studio album, End Times, will see release on Vagrant Records on January 19th. Hot on the heels of this year’s Hombre Lobo, EELS’ frontman Mark Oliver Everett says about End Times, “I felt guilty about the long gap between the last two albums so I’m making up for lost time.”
Predominantly self-recorded on an old four-track tape machine in the basement of his LA home, Everett says that the “end times” of this album are not about “Mayan calendar conspiracy theory bullshit but the state of the desperate times we live in. The bottom line-ness of it all.”
