Retribution Gospel Choir, the band fronted by Low’s Alan Sparhawk on guitar and voicals (along with Steve Garrington on bass and Eric Pollard on drums and vocals), will release their second album via Sub Pop.
Entitled 2, and to be released January 26, 2010, it is the follow-up to their 2008 self-titled debut on Sun Kil Moon’s Mark Kozelek’s Caldo Verde Records. Kozelek produced the debut, a review of which can be found here.
Beginning in late January, a North American tour is planned, details of which are to be determined. Right now the band has a show booked at the Mercury Lounge on December 15th to look forward to.
