Weezer will release their third self-titled album for DGC/Interscope Records on June 24th. This time the s/t album will be in the primary color red (hence what fans are now calling “The Red Album”).
The album is culled from sessions produced by Rick Rub, Jacknife Lee and the band themselves, including new single “Pork & Beans” from the Lee sessions. The song will be available to buy digitally on April 22 and is already at Modern Rock Radio and a video will be available in early May. For now you can hear the song on Weezer.com.
Weezer’s last album, Make Believe gave the band’s highest charting Top 40 single (#2) in “Beverly Hills,” and had two #1 Modern Rock hits with “Beverly Hills” and “Perfect Situation”. Make Believe went platinum.
