Radio’s (terrestrial in FL. and on Sirius Satellite’s channel 101) Bubba the Love Sponge® show will take their live show, Bubbapalooza, to Merrillville, Indiana’s Star Plaza Theatre for One-Show Only April 19th.
Bubbapalooza is billed as a:
live, multi-media production featuring some of the Bubba the Love Sponge Show®’s funniest and most popular personalities, routines, parodies and rants.
Bubba (a native of Warsaw, Indiana and who got his start in radio in IN’s Terre Haute) has sold out recent shows in Phoenix and Las Vegas.
“We had to respond to our many fans in the Chicagoland area, who demanded that we bring Bubbapalooza to them,” Bubba said.
After being railroaded by media giant Clear Channel back in early 2004 for fines by the FCC that reached nearly three-quarters of a million dollars (the largest single fine ever brought down by the bureaucratic government agency), Bubba languished in forced exile. That is until Howard Stern hand-picked him to join his channel on Sirius Satellite Radio.
The Bubba the Love Sponge show, like Stern’s, is uncensored talk, which means anything can, and usually will, happen. True to his nature, Bubba has even tested the boundaries of satellite radio, resulting in numerous segments (torture rack, girl-on-girl sex, shit literally hitting the fan) being phased out over time.
Bubba also hosts a live morning program on terrestrial radio stations WPHT-FM/Tampa, FL and WFYV-FM/Jacksonville, FL, making him the first to host two separate, full-length daily radio programs on both satellite and terrestrial radio.
Bubbapalooza will be co-hosted by Bubba, and will feature Bubba the Love Sponge® Show co-hosts Ned, Manson, Brent Hatley and Spice, along with regulars 25 Cent, Hammil, Miller and others.
