The Smashing Pumpkins’ Jimmy Chamberlin is without a doubt my favorite drummer of all time (Glenn Kotche of Wilco would be a close second and Dave Grohl third). And, despite the fact that I haven’t warmed wholly to the Pumpkins’ comeback album, Zeitgeist, I hear that the band’s live show is second to none. I wouldn’t know as I live near Chicago and the band hasn’t played around here yet. I’m hoping that a two-week stint in our fair city is due before the end of the year so that I can see the show a few times.
